Herberger is a senior political science major from Cary. He joined The Appalachian in the fall of 2008 as an intern news reporter and worked as a news reporter, online specialist, opinion writer, 'World Today' contributor and multimedia manager before being selected to serve as the 2011-12 editor-in-chief. After graduation, Herberger plans to pursue a career in broadcast journalism as a web producer.

Frick is a senior public relations major from Columbia, S.C. She joined The Appalachian in the fall of 2010 as an intern lifestyles reporter. She was promoted to lifestyles reporter and freelanced for the High Country Press before becoming lifestyles editor. After graduation, Frick plans to pursue a career in non-profit media or university advancement. She currently blogs for USA Today and maintains a personal blog as well:meghanfrick.com.
Jason Sharpe

Sharpe is a public relations major from Wake Forest, N.C. Sharpe joined The Appalachian in the fall of 2010 as an intern graphic designer. He was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer before becoming Associate Editor for Production Operations. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in public relations or journalism.

Olivia Wilkes

Wilkes is a sophomore technical photography and graphic design major from Providence. She joined The Appalachian in the fall of 2010 as an intern photographer. She was promoted to senior photographer in August of 2011. She also works as an associate editor for The Peel Literary Arts Magazine. After graduation, Wilkes plans to persue a career in the journalism industry in photography and design.

Drechsler is a sophomore communications major from Mocksville. He joined The Appalachian in the fall of 2011 as an intern videographer.
