The Appalachian State University Mountaineers fought a hard battle against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mocs, but ultimately emerged from the scuffle with a close 14-12 win. While the offensive team suffered from problems such as two thrown interceptions and three turnovers, the defensive team won the game with two touchdowns and stellar play against the Mocs offense by only allowing them 302 yards.
