David Forbes David Forbes is a senior journalism major from South Mills, N.C. Forbes joined The Appalachian staff in 2001 as a beat reporter. He covered clubs and organizations, multicultural, Student Government and business affairs, and wrote a news commentary as a senior staff writer last fall. He was the opinion-editorial editor of his high school newspaper The Knight's Herald. He also was editor of his high school literary magazine, Muse. Forbes' hobbies include fencing, history, writing, reading and politics. Forbes hopes to become a syndicated opinion columnist or investigative reporter.
Brad Norman Brad Norman is a junior journalism major from Charlotte, N.C. Norman joined The Appalachian staff in 2002 as a beat reporter. He covered club, intramural and varsity major sports. He was promoted to Associate Editor in spring 2005. In high school, Norman was a features writer and editor of his school newspaper, The Prowl. Norman hopes to cover sports for a major publication upon graduation. In his free time Norman plays intramural basketball, watches the Chicago Cubs, reads and works as a manager at Chick-Fil-A.
Hugh Kellenberger Hugh Kellenberger is a senior journalism major from Wendell, N.C. He joined The Appalachian staff in 2002 as a beat reporter. He covered CRSA and varsity minor sports. Kellenberger became the Associate Editor for News Operations in fall 2004, and transferred to Production Operations in spring 2005. In high school he was editor of the Southeast Raleigh High newspaper, Unleashed. His hobbies include sports, music, reading and hanging out with friends. After graduation, Kellenberger hopes to be a sports columnist for a major newspaper. Kellenberger will transfer to Associate Editor of Production Operations in the spring.
Peter Larkins Peter Larkins is a senior geography major from Greenville, N.C. Larkins has worked for The Appalachian since 2002 as a photographer. He has traveled throughout the Southeast covering Southern Conference sports. In his free time, Larkins enjoys skiing and outdoor activities. After graduating from Appalachian State, Larkins hopes to become a geographic information systems analyst, or attend graduate school.
Brandon Eudy Brandon Eudy is a junior business major from Sherrills Ford, N.C. Eudy worked with The Rhododendron last year as a copy editor, and joined The Appalachian staff last spring. During his free time, Eudy watches movies and spends time with friends. He hopes to become an economist upon graduation.
Justin Boulmay Justin Boulmay is a junior journalism major from Cary, N.C. Boulmay joined the student newspaper staff in 2002. He has covered multicultural, Faculty Senate, Student Government Association and Staff Council. In high school, Boulmay was the fiction editor and proofed for his school's literary magazine, Blue Prints. In his free time he enjoys writing, reading, hiking, hanging out with friends and listening to music. After graduation Boulmay hopes to work for a newspaper or magazine, or attend graduate or seminary school.
Dana Sigmon Dana Sigmon is a junior elementary education major from Hickory, N.C. She worked with the student newspaper for two years as a graphic designer. Sigmon became Associate Editor for Production Operations in fall 2004, but stepped down in the spring. Sigmon plans to become an elementary school teacher. In her free time, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with friends.
